In short
ZagTrader is led by its founder, Shihab Khalil, Chairman of the Board and CEO. Its non-executive directors bring experience from Goldman Sachs, ITG, Virtu Financial, HSBC, National Bonds and Drake & Scull, and Khalid Al-Sukhon, who chairs the Finance Committee, also acts as fractional CFO alongside COO Wasef Shakaa.

Shihab Khalil
Chairman of the Board
A seasoned technology entrepreneur with more than two decades of technology innovation, especially in financial services, and a proven record of leading multimillion-dollar projects. Shihab leads ZagTrader's strategic vision and growth, and has guided the company from its founding to serving institutions across multiple continents. He holds an MBA from NYIT and an MA in International Law and Global Leadership from Aristotle University.
Khalid Al-Sukhon
Non-Executive Director, Chair of the Finance Committee
Khalid was appointed Group CFO of Drake & Scull International in May 2025. Before that he was Group CFO of National Bonds, the UAE savings and investment company, and held senior finance roles at Al Hilal Bank and Aldar, after beginning his career at PwC UK and KPMG UAE. He is a member of ACCA and ACT and holds an MA in Finance & Investments from the University of Exeter.
Rob Boardman
Non-Executive Director
Rob began his career at Goldman Sachs in 1994, deploying trading technology for institutional clients. He went on to lead ITG as CEO and has held senior leadership roles in global electronic trading. A founding member of the European FIX Protocol organization, he helped shape electronic trading standards.
David Moleshead
Non-Executive Director
David is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers with over four decades of experience in investment and international banking across the UK, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. He led HSBC's debt capital markets business in the Middle East and North Africa, and brings deep expertise in capital markets and regional financial infrastructure to the board.

Shihab Khalil
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
As CEO, Shihab leads ZagTrader's strategy, product and growth, and works with the COO and CFO on the company's day-to-day running.
Wasef Shakaa
Chief Operating Officer
Wasef brings decades of strategic leadership from senior roles at multinationals such as Siemens and Honeywell, and specializes in driving operational excellence. He holds an MBA and a Ph.D. in Management Sciences. As COO, he steers ZagTrader's global operations and delivery.
Khalid Al-Sukhon
Chief Financial Officer (Fractional)
As Chair of the board's Finance Committee, Khalid also acts as ZagTrader's fractional CFO, bringing his experience as a group CFO in the UAE to the company's finances.
