Who is Shenwan Hongyuan?

Shenwan Hongyuan is a Chinese securities group whose history goes back to Shenyin & Wanguo Securities, formed in 1996 through the merger of Shenyin Securities and Wanguo Securities. In January 2015 it combined with Hongyuan Securities, a Beijing securities firm established in 1993, and took the Shenwan Hongyuan name.

The group provides securities brokerage and trading, investment banking, asset and investment management, and research. It serves individual investors, corporate issuers and institutional clients in mainland China and, through its Hong Kong business, in Hong Kong.

In Hong Kong the business offers securities, futures and options trading, margin financing and investment advisory services to individuals; sponsorship, underwriting, corporate finance advisory and equity and debt capital markets services to companies; and equities, fixed income, currencies and commodities, and derivatives services to institutions, together with asset management and investor education.
