Frequently asked questions

Which settlement types and cycles are supported?

Delivery versus payment and receive versus payment through central depositories and clearing houses, free-of-payment transfers and custodial moves. Cycles are configured per market (T+0, T+1, T+2, T+N) with holiday-aware dating, and FX trades settling in a different currency are handled.

Which SWIFT messages are used?

MT540 to MT547 settlement instructions and confirmations, MT548 status and MT578 allegements, through a structured ISO 15022 messaging framework. For dedicated SWIFT message processing and monitoring, see SWIFT Suite.

What is reconciled, and how often?

Every day: custodians and brokers (from Excel, XML, SWIFT or drop copy), holdings at local and international custodians, and aggregate client money across omnibus and individual accounts. Items are auto-matched by ISIN, quantity, price and reference, and exceptions are flagged with aging alerts and escalation.

How does settlement reach the general ledger?

In real time. Trades, fees, commissions and VAT post as they happen, segmented by instrument, broker, client, custodian and market. End of day consolidates positions and settles net, a rollback posts reversal journals, and an external general ledger can be fed by real-time event or batch file.
